As the daughter of a career public school teacher, the importance of education is something that Russet has understood all of her life. The public schools she attended K-12 prepared her to excel in life and she believes every child should be given the same opportunity. Her two children are currently students in Loudoun County Public Schools.
She believes that no child, no matter their background, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, family income level, or social status should be denied the very best education possible and will fight to get politics out of Virginia schools so that our kids can focus on learning and their teachers can focus on teaching.
Ensuring that Virginians have the best and safest schools in the country is an important goal for Russet. In that pursuit, she believes that teachers should be well paid and significant incentives should be provided to college graduates to pursue teaching our youth.
