WHAT HER OFFICE CAN DO: 

• Help you communicate with state agencies
• Submit an inquiry with a state agency on your behalf 
• Consider suggestions for legislative changes to the laws of the Commonwealth

WHAT HER OFFICE CANNOT DO: 

• Force a state agency to act in favor or speed up your case 
• Provide legal advice or recommend an attorney
• Overturn or influence matters involving private businesses 
• Intervene with judicial issues. Her office cannot legally get involved with pending litigation, including questions about criminal trials or imprisonment, child custody issues, deportation proceedings and civil lawsuits. Her office cannot overturn or in any way influence a court's decision.

HERE ARE SOME WAYS SHE'S ALREADY HELPED CONSTITUENTS: 

• Worked with the Virginia Employment Commission to get them the benefits they're entitled to 
• Inquired with ABC about the status of a liquor license 
• Helped navigate Virginia Marketplace to ensure an entire family was insured 
• Connected a family navigating a difficult behavioral health situation with a state Human Rights Advocate 
• Communicated with the DMV to help a constituent get their license

Senator Perry's office hosts mobile office hours every month. They reserve space at local libraries and community centers for constituents to stop by to meet with our Constituent Services Director and talk about any issues they’re having. They ask that constituents register for mobile office hours so we can come equipped and ready to address your concerns.
